La Maloka Eco Lodge
Hotel Description
Built in traditional style on stilts over Lake Yarinacocha, La Maloka Eco Lodge offers tourist lodgings on five acres of lovingly reforested land. Here guests can observe dolphins when the lake is at its fullest, native parrots in the wild and native rainforest trees like mahogany, copaiba, catahua and renaco.
The lodge is the perfect base for engaging in jungle exploration activities such as flora and fauna observation, canoeing and fishing, and bilingual guide service can be arranged for the activity of guests' choice.
There are eight guest rooms in all, each one with plenty of room and appointed with air conditioning, a private bathroom and TV. On site there is also a mini-zoo, a conference room for up to 120 attendees and private parking.
Area
The lodge lies on the banks of the Yarinacocha Lake of the Ucayali department not far from the city of Pucallpa. The surrounding area offers opportunities for flora and fauna observation, fishing and canoeing.
Food & Beverage
The lodge's restaurant offers regional, Peruvian and international cuisine and beverages. Buffets for large groups can be arranged and the bar offers a variety of drinks.
How To Get There
To get to the lodge from the center of Pucallpa, take the highway to Yarinacocha until you reach the port area on the lake. To the right are the tourist-oriented restaurants of the Yarinacocha district and at the end of the port area you'll find the lodge.
