Chakana Hostel, Cusco
Good Hostel with value for Money. Not in the main plaza but easily accessable. Staff are very helpful and do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. The road in front is being refurbished. May take a couple of months to complete.

Couldn't be better looked after
This hotel is conveniently located near Wanchaq market, about a 15 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas and very near a large craft market. The efficient, caring Manager and friendly staff go out of their way to be of service. Maté de coca tea is permanently available to help adjust to the altitude. For breakfast the staff prepare juice made entirely out of fresh fruits bought from the market, in addition to bread, jam, coffee and scambled eggs. For me, being able to use the kitchen to prepare meals was an added bonus. The staff also provide useful information on how to get around Cusco and the surrounding area. The phrase I heard several times is : "If there is anything you need, just ask." And when I did need something I always received it. I was also told that I just had to phone them should I have any problem when I was not at the hotel.
