Qawana Boutique Lodge
The nearby rushing Urubamba river and majestic glacial peak of Pitusiray are just two of the reasons why the Qawana Boutique Lodge was named after the Quechua word for lookout point.
The guest rooms all have private bathrooms, hair dryers, and either a balcony or bay window overlooking the rural mountain scenery.
This sprawling country hotel is set among the verdant beauty of neatly tended lawns and gardens in a valley hemmed in by steep mountain slopes. It is a place to immerse oneself in the tranquility of nature and have fun participating in adventure sports in the great outdoors.
The hotel is located in the Huarán district of the Sacred Valley along the Pisac-Urubamba highway near the Juch'uy Qosqo ruins.
It lies 9,600 ft above sea level in a mountainous area along the Urubamba River where there are opportunities for kayaking, river rafting, trekking, mountain biking and horseback riding.
The drive to Cusco takes 50 minutes, while Pisac and the train station with service to Machu Picchu can be reached in 40 and 45 minutes, respectively.
Food & Beverage
The hotel's La Chomba Restaurant affords beautiful views of the river and mountains and serves a wide variety of novoandina and international dishes for lunch and dinner. Here guests can enjoy wine or a pisco sour by the fireplace. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served each morning in the dining room.
How To Get There
To get to the hotel from Cusco, take the road to Pisac then head northwest towards Urubamba. You will pass the towns of Qoya, Lamay and Calca before arriving at the hotel, which is situated at the 60.5 km mark.
