Hotel Description

At the Terrazas del Inca hotel guests can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the lush mountains surrounding Machu Picchu and the soothing murmur of the Aguas Calientes River that flows past its door. The guest rooms are clean and nicely decorated, each one appointed with a telephone, private bathroom and comfortable beds. Area

The hotel is located in the town of Aguas Calientes, just a five-minute walk from the train station and the bus station with service to Machu Picchu. The hot springs are a short distance away uphill, also reachable by foot.

Food & Beverage

A complimentary American breakfast is served each morning from 4:30 to 10 am and a vegetarian breakfast is available upon request. The on-site café is open all day long, offering tea, regular coffee, espresso and a variety of sandwiches that are great for packing for all-day trips to the ruins. Room service is also available.

How To Get There

To get to the hotel from the train station, head north until you reach the river, then take a right up the hill for one block. Cross the bridge over the river and continue along Yahuar Huaca St. for one block. At the intersection take a right up Inca Pachacutec St. then your next right onto Wiracocha St. Follow this street for one block and you'll arrive at the hotel on your left, alongside the river.

Very Nice!
Very nice people. Soledad and all the other guys make me feel like in my own home. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious and it has a wonderful view.

Trip to Machu Picchu
Hotel is up the hill form the train station, which is a bit of a lug. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a great breakfast as we prepared to go to Machu Picchu. The shower in our room had plenty of hot water. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice place!
A friend and I stayed at the Terrazas del Inca in Aguas Calientes for 2 nights. It was a nice room; very friendly staff; breakfast was good (one of the few places where we actually got an egg instead of just bread/jam); and the location was nice right on the river. The town is compact so everything is within walking distance and it was a short 5-minute walk from the train station. I'd stay again with no hesitation.

Great place
Stayed for only 1 night and trained it back to Cusco the same day as visiting MP. Hotel location is upstream 300 meters which is fine. If you cant hike 300 meters to the hotel then don't bother with the ruins. Hotel has no TV's but the rushing water from the river is great white noise. Other than the river the hotel is in a quiet area and you never hear any trains. Plenty of hot water and clean. Very helpful staff and they provide a pack lunch for the MP day for a few bucks. They will store your backs for the days hike for free. Lot's of restaurants everywhere as Aquas Calientes is not that big, all are easy to reach. The hotel is friendly, basic necessities and affordable. Since MP admission, the bus to get to the entrance, and the train to Aguas Calientes are price gouging, this a great hotel to offset some of those costs.

Excellent hotel
This hotel is beautiful on the inside..a surprise from the narrow street it´s on. It´s a few blocks from the plaza and on a fairly steep hill in the high altitude of Cuzco, but most places are walkable. My room was rather small but large enough and comfortable. The spanish decor and view are spectacular, and the attendants at the front desk are helpful. The many uneven steps lead to several levels and presented a bit of a challenge with my sore muscles from climbing at Machu Picchu the day before!

very helpful staff
I stayed here for 2 nights and found the staff very friendly and helpful. The location was lovely right next to the river. As it was my birthday I even received a lovely cup and saucer from the hotel as a suvineer.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Cheap, but a good deal for the money
For the offered price you usually don't expect much. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The water in the shower was hot and the beds were OK. The staff here, including Carlos who helped me with several questions about AC and MP in advance of my arrival, were very helpful and friendly. The staff I dealt with were all bi-lingual. They have a computer available for guests to check emails and internet, with no charge. At night I was able to open the window and hear the river, and got a great night's sleep for a 3:15am wakeup. In short, the staff was very helpful telling me where to get my MP ticket and bus ticket the day before, and made my stay as smooth as possible so I had no worries for the busy next day at MP. In summary, if you're looking for a fancy place to say, then skip this place. But if you're looking for a no-frills, basic place with great service and helpful staff, this place fits the bill. If I go back to MP, I'll stay here again.

Quiet, clean delightful...
After hiking the Camino Inka stayed one night, delightful place. Above the noise of the main drag, restful 'roar' of the river, really special. Pleasant folks, nice breakfast and internet.

I'd go back
Friendly helpful staff with good sized room on the cold side and poor water pressure but did have hot water 24 hrs. Fair price in a town renowned for being overpriced.
