We are over 65 and from Brisbane Australia
We only stayed one night but we found Hostal Imperio de los Inkas welcoming and convenient. Clean, quiet and good value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and having a restaurant downstairs is just great. The hostel is well located about halfway between the bus terminus (for the Machu Picchu journey) and the hot springs. Definitely to be recommended.

Worth the price
It's a generally good place to stay. It is a good price considering it's a double bed and a nice room all for yourself. It doesn't really have any kind of special atmosphere, but the location is very good, and the staff are helpful, if not overly attentive.
