Samiria Eco Lodge

Room rates include food and drinks, tours and activities, a personal guide who will assist guests throughout their stay, and transportation from Iquitos airport to the lodge and back. Activities offered include include visits to indigenous communities, medicinal plant tours, and kayak excursions along the river.
Constructed completely from natural, locally sourced materials such as wood and thatch, all of the air-conditioned guest units feature one or two queen-size beds, private bathroom with hot and cold water, sitting area, and an ample terrace with hammocks from which guests can enjoy the views of the river.
The main building of the eco-lodge offers a lounge area, terrace, and events area where music and dance shows are frequently held. A game room, gym, swimming pool and sun deck provide plenty of recreational space.
Nestled in the hills surrounding the Marañón River, the lodge offers many opportunities to explore the nearby ecological reserves, including the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Manatee Rescue Center, and others.
Various indigenous communities also lie in the area, which guests can visit to see their artisanal goods, traditional way of life, and ceremonial practices. The small town of Nauta is 30 minutes away by boat, while the nearest airport is in Iquitos, which is 1.5 hours from Nauta by bus.
Food & Beverage
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included in the room rate, and are served in the main building of the property. The menu's focus is on local produce and regional-style fish dishes; however, requests for other dishes are typically accommodated. The bar serves complimentary drinks and snacks all day on the terrace looking out over the river, making a great spot to relax at sunset.
How To Get There
Transport to the property is organized with hotel staff. Guests arrive at Iquitos airport, where they are greeted by a representative of the hotel. They are then taken on a 1.5-hour bus ride to Nauta, where they transfer to a speedboat to take for 30 minutes to the lodge.
