Hotel Description
The people of the Pastoruri Hotel strive to provide their guests with a level of service that's as lofty as the glacier that inspired its name. Newly opened in 2005, the seven-floor hotel affords stunning views of both the city of Huaraz and the Callejón de Huaylas scenery from its restaurant and rooftop lookout.
The hotel has 28 rooms in all, divided among singles, doubles, twins, triples, quads and a suite. Each room features a luxurious bathroom, cable TV, Internet access, a direct-dial national and international telephone, a safety deposit box and adapters for all types of electrical equipment. The triples and quads have balconies with views of the mountains of the Cordillera Blanca and the suite has a living room and Jacuzzi.
An elevator provides access between floors and the rooftop lookout has a telescope for guests to use. There are also two fully-equipped conference rooms ideal for business events which are collectively able to accommodate up to 150 delegates. A computer with Internet access is provided on the first floor and laundry service is available.
Area
The Pastoruri Hotel is located ten blocks from the Plaza de Armas of Huaraz in a quiet neighborhood of the Independencia district. The city center, with its museum, cathedral, shops and banks, is easily accessible from the hotel.
Food & Beverage
At the Panorama Restaurant guests can savor exquisite regional, Peruvian and international cuisine as they admire the beautiful Andean scenery. Located on the seventh floor, it is open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Room service is also available during that time frame.
How To Get There
To get to the hotel from the Confraternidad Internacional Ave. West (the road providing access to Huaraz from Lima), head north and cross the bridge over the Quilcay River. After about four blocks, when you come to the Simón Bolívar High School (Colegio) on your left, take a right onto Yungay Street. Follow Yungay Street (which later becomes Corongo Street) for 5.5 blocks and you'll see the hotel on your left.
