Hotel Description
The El Rosal (i.e., "Rose Garden") hotel is a social project directed by a group of Catholics, the proceeds of which finance homes for abandoned children in the Cusco region. The hotel extends its guests warm hospitality and personalized service so as to make them feel at home and boasts an ideal location just four blocks from Cuzco's Plaza de Armas.
There are 40 very comfortable guest rooms in all, divided among singles, doubles, twins and triples. Each one comes with a private bathroom, warm blankets, an easy chair and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Guests may enjoy a dip in the hotel's Jacuzzi after a long day of sightseeing or simply relax in one of the five gardens on site. There is a sense of peace and tranquility throughout the hotel, which guarantees guests a restful and productive stay. Business guests may make use of the modern event room able to accommodate up to 50 people.
The hotel staff offer friendly service with a smile and are very attentive to guests' needs. They provide laundry service, tourist information, therapeutic massages and yoga and reiki classes.
Area
El Rosal is located in the San Pedro neighborhood of Cuzco's historic center, four blocks from the Plaza de Armas. It is very close to historic monuments, churches and other tourist attractions, as well as restaurants, bars, shops, banks and Cuzco's exciting nightlife. It is across from a large market and adjacent to the train station with service to Machu Picchu.
Food & Beverage
The hotel's restaurant serves a delicious complimentary breakfast from 5:30 to 9:30 a.m. If given advance notice the chefs can prepare a wide variety of Peruvian and international dishes for lunch and dinner. In the café on site guests can savor homemade baked goods along with hot beverages to ward off the evening chill and at the bar they can order their favorite drinks.
How To Get There
To get to the hotel from Cuzco's Plaza de Armas by foot, head southwest along Santa Clara St. and take your sixth left onto Casccaparo St. You'll see the hotel on your right, across from the central market of San Pedro.
