This wonderful backpacker's hostel is a true bargain for the comfortable accommodations, homey atmosphere and panoramic views it affords. Occupying a well-kept colonial house, it's got clean and spacious rooms with private bathrooms and plenty of warm blankets. The staff are a helpful bunch always ready to help guests with anything they might need, including luggage storage while they're away on multi-day treks or other excursions. There is also a lovely central courtyard and a tidy common kitchen area for guest use.

The Hospedaje el Artesano de San Blas is a five-block uphill walk from Cuzco's Plaza de Armas. Located in the charming traditional neighborhood of San Blas, the hostel is about a block from the San Blas Church and moments from the scores of little artisans' workshops that the district is known for.

How To Get There
To get to the hostel from the Plaza de Armas take Triunfo Street (to the right of the Cathedral) and walk five blocks straight uphill until you see the sign. The road is also known as Cuesta San Blas and will take you past the San Blas Church and up a flight of steep steps.
