The tropically colored, comfortable guest units—ranging from singles to suites—are equipped with private bathrooms, flat-screen TVs with cable programming, and mini-bars. Suites also have a Jacuzzi and a seating area.

The hotel offers laundry services and the booking of tours and excursions, while a transfer from the airport or bus station is included in the room rate. Area

Close to shopping venues, parks, and restaurants, this hotel has a great location close to Chiclayo's central district. The Modelo Market is a large complex housing hundreds of interesting items not three blocks from the here. Aside from locally grown fruits and vegetables, there are handcrafted items, alternative medicines, and live animals available for purchase. The Cerrado Coliseum is practically next door to the market.

The popular Plaza de Armas is a 15-minute walk to the hotel's south and houses the city's cathedral. The charming central square is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and nightlife. The Las Américas diner occupies one of the plaza's corners. It is popular with tourists and locals alike, as its varied menu is known to include tasty soups, meat dishes, and fish options.

Food & Beverage

The hotel offers both vegetarian and continental options for breakfast. Exotic fruit juices, freshly baked breads with butter and marmalade, scrambled eggs, coffee, and tamales are a few of the items provided. Meals, snacks and a range of drinks are on offer throughout the day at the restaurant. There is a bar and lounge area on-site.

How To Get There

To get to the hotel from Chiclayo's main plaza, head east along San José St. for one block (passing the Cathedral on your right) and take a left onto 7 de Enero St. About five blocks later you'll see the hotel on your right, shortly before arriving at the intersection with Arica St.

Home away from home
If you are looking for luxury (king size beds, robes, complimentary champagne, etc.), Hotel Embajador isn't for you. If you are looking for a clean, family-owned hotel with a welcoming, helpful staff - a place where you can feel entirely at home - this is your home away from home. My wife and I both loved our stay here but it is for the budget minded more than those seeking Western style accommodations. Highly recommended.

The main market is right out the front door, one block and then one block left. Great location. Plaza des Armes is in the opposite direction about 4 blocks away.

Stay in Hotel Embajador
We totally enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. We stayed in the romantic moon suite which was fantastic. It was at the back of the hotel and we heard no street noise. Customer service was excellent even though no one spoke English which was a little difficult since we speak no Spanish. The only complaint we would have is during check out they were not able to accept credit cards which we were not aware of. We had a taxi waiting to take us to the bus station and had to scramble to gather all of the remaining cash we had for the remainder of our trip to pay for the hotel in order to not miss our bus. Always had hot water, Internet access was excellent. If we were to return to Chiclayo we would most definetly consider staying here again.
