Hotel Description
Casa Ana is a friendly little bed and breakfast hotel that caters especially to budget travelers and backpackers. It's a family business, run by a Peruvian lady and her children with the help of a Dutchman, designed to make guests feel very much at home. Accommodations are clean and travelers will appreciate the safety and tranquility found within its walls. Without intruding on guests' privacy, the family makes itself available to provide assistance in any way they can, including help obtaining bus or airplane tickets, getting a fair price for a taxi ride or determining where to shop and visit in Lima. The hotel has a pleasant rooftop terrace area and provides discounts to guests who stay for more than five days. Airport pickup service is also available.
Area
Casa Ana is located in the district of Breña in downtown Lima not far from the city's historic center. The area has convenient bus connections to Miraflores, Barranco and many other parts of town. The area isn't touristy and everything a traveler could need is close by, including a local market, internet cafés, banks, currency exchange houses, restaurants, laundromats, a supermarket, shops and the immigration office.
Food & Beverage
Guests can have dinner with the hotel owners if they wish. They also have the option of using the kitchen on occasion or taking charge of preparing the family meal themselves.
How To Get There
To get to the Casa Ana B&B from the Bolognesi Plaza, head down Brasil Ave. until you reach its sixth block where Brasil Ave. meets Independencia St. (point of reference: the Hospital del Niño, i.e. Children's Hospital). Turn right and continue for one block until you come to the intersection of Independence St. and Pichincha St. Take a right here and continue for almost one block until you see the hotel at number 145.
