Hotel Description
The great common areas and very helpful service of the One Hostel have made it a favorite among backpackers. Run by a Peruvian family who provide their guests with a warm welcome and all the assistance they need finding their way around Barranco and the rest of Lima, it occupies an attractive home built in the early 1900s. The guest rooms have colorful Andean bedspreads and either private or shared bathroom facilities. There are beautiful common areas including elegant patios with painted tiles and lush potted plants and a formal cable TV and DVD lounge with a collection of books and board games. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen for guests to use.
Area
The hostel is located in Lima's artsy historic district of Barranco within walking distance of numerous restaurants, clubs and a grocery store. The center of Barranco with its municipal park and popular bars is about five blocks away.
Food & Beverage
A complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning. Free coffee and tea are available for guests to prepare themselves and there is a fully-equipped communal kitchen on site.
