There are 29 guest rooms plus two suites with a cozy and inviting atmosphere, many of them with stunning mountain views. Some rooms have a private patio where guests can have breakfast and the suites include an indoor sitting area set apart from the bedroom. Guests can also indulge in luxurious massage and aromatherapy treatments and take advantage of the hotel's comprehensive range of services including laundry and tour guide services. In the evening the hotel gives multimedia presentations featuring Machu Picchu and the area's native orchids.
The hotel's gardens are a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a glass of champagne as you admire the incredible scenery. Located at the rear of the main building, they have been planted with a gorgeous array of orchids and other native flora. Area
The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge enjoys a spectacular, and unparalleled, ridge top location right next to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Buses traveling to and from Aguas Calientes stop nearby and the lodge is a great starting point for excursions into the surrounding area.
Food & Beverage
At the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served against a beautiful backdrop of verdant slopes and rugged peaks. The on-site Tampu Restaurant & Bar offers international and Andean à la carte cuisine in a fashionably modern space enhanced with stone and wood furnishings. At the Tinkuy Buffet Restaurant guests can savor an array of international and Peruvian main courses, salads and desserts as part of its lunch buffet. Room service is also available for guests who wish to dine in the privacy of their own room.
How To Get There
To get to the lodge take the train from Cuzco to Aguas Calientes (3.5 hours) and the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu (30 minutes).
