Bella and Staff
The hotel is very cute but what made it truly enjoyable was the staff; Claudia and Bella (Pet) were extremely friendly and very informative. The rooms were clean and spascious although the view (not their fault) was not very desirable. The food was OK but the location was excellent.

Nice hotel, nice location
This was a good hotel to stay at in Aguas Calientes. We wanted to start out early to Machu Picchu, so decided to stay at Gringo Bill's overnight. We had a triple room, but when 2 of us got very ill & both needed the bathroom, they were able to find us another room & let 1 of the rooms be the last cleaned that next morning so we could lay down for as long as we could before our train left. We had someone help us with our bags back to the train also, which was a lifesaver considering how we felt. The only down side was that no one was there to meet our train to show us where the hotel was as we were told, however, AC is small enough, people just pointed the way & we were able to find out own way there.

Close to everything
I was pleasantly surprised by the town and this hotel. I stayed 2 nights while I went to Machu Picchu and found the location to be very central to everything I needed. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was much appreciated.

Comfortable enough
For being in a tiny town, Gringo Bills offered just enough comfort. The rooms were a good size, clean towels, hot water, and wifi were all available. The laundry service was less than expected.

An ok stay
Gringo Bill's:
Pluses: They are conveniently located at the Armas.
The room and bed were comfortable.

Negatives:
The window that opened up out on to the balcony was not lockable, and anyone walking by could enter if they chose to.
The bathroom door had no lock or door knob on it, it was really just a swinging door.
There are 2 spas on one of the landings, but they were empty.
There was a TV but it did not work.

Great hotel, very little noise
Gringo Bills was a great hotel to stay at. They were warm and inviting. Of course they had great service and were very accommodating. I would recommend their hotel to anyone who stays to go to Machu Picchu.

Great stay! Recommended!
Had a great stay at Gringo's! Their rooms are unique and clean. Looked like they have a lot of options for groups, too. Close to everything but far enough from the train and the street heading up to the hot springs. Breakfast was included, which wasn't anything to write home about but it'll keep you sustained for the trip up to Machu Picchu. The only lame thing was they are doing construction, so it was a bit louder then expected. But besides that, the staff was helpful and I enjoyed my stay!
