Named after Harlequin's flirtatious and impudent mistress in the Commedia dell'Arte, La Colombina is a simple homey hotel that showcases the beauty of historic English architecture. Occupying a handsome building built in the early 1900s, it has 14 pleasant guest rooms decorated with antique bronze furniture and paintings of local sights. There is a comfortable sitting area on the roof for relaxing in the fresh air while gazing out over the Pacific.

The hotel is located in the midst of many fine restaurants on Valparaíso's Cerro Concepción, a convenient starting point for exploring the city's European architecture. It is near the scenic promenades of Atkinson and Gervasoni as well as the historic Lutheran and Anglican churches.

The La Colombina pub-restaurant, located within walking distance of the hotel on Cerro Alegre, offers German and English cuisine as well as international dishes, with an emphasis on seafood, in an old three-story mansion terraced into the hillside. Its elegant interiors, appointed with antique furniture and art deco stained glass windows, conjure up an authentic air of the past.
How To Get There
To get to the hotel from the intersection of Blanco St. with Almirante Martínez St. head northwest along Blanco for one block, taking your first left onto Ross St. then another immediate left onto Esmeralda St. Continue along Esmeralda, taking your first right onto Almirante Montt. When Almirante Montt comes to an end turn right onto Templeman St., continue for two blocks and turn right onto Abtao. The hotel will be a few steps away on your left.
