Hotel Description

Unforgettable jungle adventures and comfortable, eco-friendly lodging await travelers at the remote Juma Lodge. Built of judiciously harvested native wood, its 23 simple yet charming bungalows are built on tall stilts and connected by raised walkways. Each bungalow features a veranda with a hammock, beautiful rainforest views and lots of privacy. Some of them offer breathtaking views of Juma Lake, which is a stunning sight when bathed in pale moonlight. Guests receive a warm welcome from the kind and attentive staff as well as the resident monkeys, macaws, toucans and tapir, and knowledgeable guides offer fascinating rainforest experiences such as educational hikes, alligator spotting, fishing, camping, swimming, canoeing and visits to a native community.

The lodge is a scenic three-hour boat ride, or half-hour hydroplane ride, from Manaus, which lies 62 miles away to the northwest. It lies on the banks of Juma Lake deep in the Amazonian rainforest where guests can go hiking, fishing, alligator spotting, swimming, canoeing, camping, and visit a native community.
