Camu Camu Lodge
The Camu Camu Lodge, located in the Tupana Reserve some 112 miles south of Manaus, offers travelers a rainforest immersion experience on the banks of the Tupana River. It was founded by a couple from São Paolo who decided to move to the jungle and pour their lives into sustainable tourism. As such, the staff are members of a neighboring community, all waste is sorted for recycling and organic matter is composted. Rates include room, board, daily excursions and transfer to and from the airport or bus station.
There are five independent guest cabins in all, each one built entirely of wood, roofed with palm thatch and featuring a private porch overlooking the river or forest. The cabins, which can accommodate up to four guests each, come with private bathrooms, bathrobes and ceiling fans. Guests also have access to a communal "maloka" house overlooking the jungle, laundry facilities, currency exchange service, travel services provided by multilingual staff, a conference room and translation services.
The lodge is located on the banks of the Tupana River within the Tupana Reserve some 112 miles south of Manaus. The Tupana Reserve is known for its great fishing, particularly of peacock bass, and the biodiverse jungle surrounding the hotel is inhabited by monkeys, birds, dolphins, alligators and snakes.
Food & Beverage
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the room rates. Meals are served in the on-site restaurant and feature local cuisine such as grilled peacock bass and chicken caipira. The full bar serves tropical fruit juices, soft drinks, beer, wine and other alcoholic drinks. Round-the-clock room service is available.
