Hotel Description
As its name implies, The Modern Hotel is a stylish contemporary place designed to cater to the needs of families, executives and anyone else seeking luxurious accommodations complemented by a full range of leisure and business facilities. Established in March 2009, it boasts 84 bright, spacious and functional guest rooms distributed across six floors. Each guest room features an electronic laptop safe, LCD cable TV, mini bar, climate control, free Wi-Fi and large windows with excellent views of Mendoza or the Andes. Guests also enjoy access to an on-site spa, sauna, Jacuzzi, well-equipped gym and outdoor swimming pool with bar service. Executive offices are available to business guests, as are four event and conference rooms.
Area
The hotel is located in central Mendoza just four blocks from the city's main thoroughfare, San Martín Ave., and 110 yards from Sarmiento Plaza. It is surrounded by tourist attractions, academic institutions and the shopping and financial district. The El Plumerillo Airport is five miles away.
Food & Beverage
The hotel's chic Magma Restaurant & Bar offers haute contemporary regional cuisine as well as professional wine tasting. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from 7 to 11 am and includes fresh croissants, fruits and marmalades. Economical daily specials as well as à la carte fare are available for lunch and dinner, which are served from noon to 3:30 pm and 8 pm to midnight, respectively.

To get to the hotel from Mendoza's Sarmiento Plaza, head south along José Federico Moreno St. for less than a block.
